How to change the program associated with a particular extension.

eg change .java to registered with Lemmy instead of Symantec Cafe.

On my system Lemmy is located in
"C:\Program Files\Lemmy\Lemmy.EXE"

  1. Open any Window. (eg double click on My Computer)
  2. View -> Options....
  3. Select "File Types" Folder tab
  4. Scroll down and select Visual Cafe File (the one with JAVA extension)
  5. Click Edit...
  6. Click open (the text)
  7. Click Edit
  8. Change c:\Visual... to C:\Program Files ....
  9. click ok
  10. click on change Icon
  11. pick and icon press okay.
